Fantastico Casey! Sono contentissima! Alla fine ti conosciero! We really should try to find a way for you to meet Obama. Maybe you have to write another letter?

Casey, did you ever write to Barack Obama about the similarities in your lives? If not then perhaps now would be the time to write that letter, including the fact that you are going to Washington for his inauguration.

You are a very lucky young man to experience yesterday's historical event, but even more so to be going to Washington to witness the inauguration. Perhaps you don't yet realise just how important this is... but you will!

Now the important question... what are you going to wear? :)

Thank you everybody. When I go to the inauguration, I'm going to be reporter for my class at school. I sure will send pictures.

Sheena, I didn't write my letter yet. I'm going to write it real soon because maybe he'll say "come and meet me."

Sheri, does my grmma know you? She asked me to ask.

Hi Casey,

I only know you and your grandmom from the Slow Travel Forums. I am a gold star member and visit the forums everyday. I do participate in discussions sometimes. I got lots of helpful information from the forum/blogs when I was planning our trip to Italy!

Casey - I'm glad your Nonna let you stay up to watch Senator Obama's speech last night. It was a very special moment.

You are so lucky to be going to the inauguration - I'm glad you will be reporting on it for your class, and for us.

YES WE CAN!

Nonna Judy

ps: Was it hard to get up for school this morning after staying up last night?

Casey, I love having you in room 12. Thanks for making me famous on your blog! Now, I'm a "rockstar." hehe

I'm so blessed to have such terrific students and to get to spend my "work day" teaching them.

See you soon. Love,
