Making Edible Yarn

I don't usually write on the same day as the event, but this time it was special. My Gramma and I made edible yarn with the new edible yarn maker that came today in the mail. (By edible yarn, I mean pasta.) We had a lot of fun making the stuff, but we needed to put the yarn through the slot that made thicker and wider ones. We thought it was going to be a disaster, but it ended up being pretty good. (We made Cacio e Pepe.)
Here was the box it came in,

here is me working on making the yarn dough,
and here is why I called it yarn.

Wow, you guys rock! What a great job right out of the box. Color me impressed. And cacio pepe, a pasta that so many people wreck by adding too much stuff to it. You have done right by yourselves, San Diego and Italy!
PS/ id I am your follower, does that make me a seguetrice?

Hi KZ,
Just catching up on your recent trip to Italy. Sounds like you enjoyed time with your new friends in Cortona and Assisi.
The pasta looks good to me. I've never made pasta so really admire you and your grandma for taking the cooking class.
What are you planning next re: Cooking, travels and school?
Keep writing.
ciao,
