Receiving and Giving

Receiving:

WE GOT THE INAUGURATION TICKETS. Woo00000000000-hoo.

I really wanted to get them to see the ceremony when Barack Obama is sworn-in as President of the United States. We got a call from our congressman who said, "YOU HAVE 3 TICKETS TO THE INAUGURATION CEREMONY." I hope it snows but gramma doesn't.

Giving:

Several weeks ago I did the shoe boxes again like I did last year. This time there in plastic boxes and not in shoe boxes. I did that so the kids who receive them could reuse them for other things.

Samaritans Purse takes the shoe boxes all over globally to the kids that they want to give them to. Samaritans Purse gives them to poor areas of the world so that they can actual have something and they learn about Jesus.

In the shoe boxes were toys, school supplies, dental supplies, and accessories. I bought them with my own money that I saved during the year to buy them. I spent $63 on them.

Here's some pictures of me bringing and giving the shoe boxes to the place that takes them. It was the same place as last year.

Hello Casey, I'm so happy to hear the news and I'm really looking forward to reading about all of your experiences attending the swearing in ceremony upon your return.

The Samaritan's Purse sounds like a really great program and I think it is so wonderful that you worked so hard to save your money to pay for all the items to put in your boxes so they can go to children around the world who need them.

Thank you so much for sharing the link. Have a great trip in January.

KC,
You are so lucky to get those tickets!
I am so lucky to know someone going to the inauguration (YOU)!
I can't wait until you write about it and post some photos.

I'm glad to see you giving so generously again this year.

Way to go!

Merry Christmas to you and your family.
